Food is perishable, so our cancellation and refund rules work differently from ordinary retail. Here's exactly how they work.

Last updated 17 August 2026

01Cancelling an order

  • By you. You can cancel within 2 minutes of placing your order, or before the restaurant accepts it and starts preparing it — whichever comes first.
  • Once preparation has started. The order can no longer be cancelled, because the food is perishable and can't be resold.
  • By Leffah. We may cancel an order for reasons outside our control — an item is unavailable, the store is closed, the delivery address is outside the service area or the payment failed for a technical reason. When we cancel, we start a full refund immediately.

02Returns

  • Under food safety and health regulations, food that has been delivered can't be physically returned or exchanged.
  • The only exceptions are orders that are incorrect, damaged or spoiled, verified at the time of delivery.

03When you can get a refund

You may be eligible for a full or partial refund if:

  • Items are missing or wrong. An item is missing from your order, or you received a different item.
  • Quality problems or spoilage. The packaging arrived badly damaged and the food was spilled or contaminated, or the food was spoiled.
  • Your order never arrived. The order didn't reach the address you gave because of a fault on the courier's side.

Report the problem within 1–2 hours of delivery through the app or our support channels, with photos of the order. We can't process claims made after this time or without photos.

04Online payments & refund timing

  • Where the refund goes. Approved refunds for online payments (credit or debit card, Apple Pay, mada and similar) go back to the original payment method. We can't send a refund to a different card or account.
  • How long it takes. Refunds usually appear in your account within 5–7 business days after we start them. The exact time depends on your bank or card issuer.

If these pages don't answer it, we're happy to help.
